Worship
Weekly worship is what brings us together and sustains our life as a congregation. We gather to hear God’s Word, uplift one another in prayer, join in songs of praise, and celebrate the Sacraments. We invite you to share this time with us!
In-Person Worship
Join us for worship at 10am on Sundays.
Livestream/Virtual Worship
Our 10am service is livestreamed on the Christ Lutheran Church Facebook page. Additionally, we offer a Sunday evening praise service (Sundays on the Porch) at 7pm. This service is also livestreamed on our Facebook page.

But I have a few more questions...
- What about communion?
- We practice weekly communion. The bread is all gluten-free and we have both wine and grape juice.
- We practice an "open table", which means that ALL are welcome. You don't have to be a member, or Lutheran, or in "good standing", or any other human distinction. If you want to come to the table and experience God's love in the form of bread and grapes, then YOU are welcome!
- Is it accessible?
- The building is wheelchair accessible.
- We have an inclusive restroom for people of all identities.
- There are hearing assisted devices. Ask the pastor or an usher to point you towards the sound room to get set up before worship begins.
- There are two large screens in the sanctuary that are to help folks worship without needing to hold the books or find your place.
- Are kids welcome?
- Yes. Si. Aa'. Ja. We love the joy that kids bring to our lives. Church is one of the places in our lives where it is naturally multigenerational. Kids bring smiles to elders' faces and elders bring smiles to kids' faces. Pastor Meredith has also been known to hold babies while preaching and interacts with a kid who yells out during her sermon.
- The "Children's Message" takes place during the middle of service. We invite the children to come forward and sit with the pastor or teacher on the floor for a brief time of learning. Then, between September-May, children are invited to join teachers for Sunday School. We rotate between an Old Testament lesson, a New Testament lesson, a service project, and music/dance!
- Children are WELCOME to stay with their adults for worship--really! We offer Sunday School as a resource, not to ask children to leave.
- There is a nursery in the back and windows by the sanctuary if you decide you'd like to step out with your young one.
- There are changing tables in both the men's room and the women's room.
- I'm not Lutheran...what if I mess something up?
- Chances are good that Pastor Meredith will "mess up" before you can.
- Worship is a time for people to gather, which means that people are gathering. People sneeze, cough, laugh, talk, make noises, and live. It's okay--really!
- We come together, not as perfect versions of ourselves, but people who are hungry for God's love expressed in community. That's it.
- What kind of worship do you do?
- It's a blend of music styles, with mainly organ and piano accompaniment. We use the red Evangelical Lutheran Worship (ELW) hymnal. We alternate liturgy settings by season and try to incorporate a range of traditional hymns, popular songs, bluegrass jams, handbell anthems, sung choir pieces, and whatever else our musicians come up with!
- Worship typically lasts an hour to ninety minutes on a really busy Sunday.

- Are you going to make me give money?
- We invite folks to contribute to our offering during the service. We provide various methods--a basket for checks or cash, a QR code to our online giving portal, or setting up regular auto-payment. This offering is what pays for the staff salaries, utilities, crayons, toilet paper, cleaning supplies, and so on. A portion of this offering is given to our local community non-profits and ministries. We also use this offering to share a portion of the gifts to the larger Church to help other congregations grow. That being said, no, you don't have to give ANY money. We welcome your gifts to help the ministry grow!
